The modelling of the geometrical structure of a special kind of concrete is discussed. It is a matter of self-flowing refractory castables with spherical grains. The system of hard spheres is compared to several well-established models of spatial statistics and statistical physics as well as to a model used by concrete engineers.

Improvement of microstructure is also the primary cause for mechanical property enhancements in case of non-autoclave foam concrete. It was found that the use of CNTs (0.05 by mass) as the reinforcement of foam concrete stabilized its structure by decreasing the pore wall percolation and ensuring better pore size uniformity (Figure 18 ) 113 .
